Abstract

returned to offline. During the pandemic, all activities are carried out online through email, zoom, googlemeet or other platforms that allow for remote communication. This change is inversely proportional to the post-pandemic period which is directly faced offline or face-to-face without being limited by distance, space, and time. Many changes have occurred during the post-pandemic where activities are carried out offline, one of which is social interaction. The aim of this research was to examine the correlation between self-concept and social anxiety in post-pandemic UKSW psychology students. This research used a quantitative approach. Sample data collection was carried out using a self-concept measurement scale and a social anxiety measurement scale. The sample of this research is 260 active psychology students of UKSW Class of 2020, 2021, 2022 who have never studied offline before the pandemic. The sampling technique used in this research was accidental sampling. Hypothesis testing using the spearman Rho correlation analysis technique. The results of this study show that there is a negative correlation between self-concept and social anxiety. The result of the correlation coefficient (r) value obtained is -0.351 with a significance value level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), then the hypothesis in this study is accepted. There is a negative relationship between self-concept and social anxiety in post-pandemic UKSW psychology students.
