Abstract

The Library of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) is a supporting unit for academic activities that continues to develop as a technology-based information center. Along with the increasing use of the e-Library website, various security risks have emerged, such as data breaches, cyberattacks, and unauthorized access, which may affect system reliability and user trust. This study aims to analyze security risks on the Universitas IGM e-Library website based on data protection and system aspects in order to determine risk levels and prioritize mitigation strategies. The method used in this research is a risk management approach based on ISO 31000, which includes risk identification, risk analysis, and risk evaluation. Data collection techniques consist of literature study, interviews, and questionnaires involving users and system administrators. The results show that there are 9 potential risks originating from human factors, system issues, and infrastructure. High-priority risks include system exploitation, cybercrime, and data corruption, while other risks fall into medium and low categories. The average user perception score of 3.58 indicates that the system security is considered fairly good but not yet optimal in ensuring user confidence. Overall, this study provides strategic recommendations to improve system security and data protection in order to enhance user trust and ensure the sustainability of e-Library services.
