Abstract

The well-being of students from a psychological standpoint has arisen as a vital matter in the sphere of higher education, since it deeply affects mental health, educational outcomes, adaptability, and the standard of future workforce participants. The state of mental health support services in Indonesia's educational institutions is still lacking in development and integration. The primary aim of this research is to formulate the Innovative Mental Health Support Program (PRODUKTIF) as an all-encompassing framework designed to enhance student mental health and promote the cultivation of human capital. This investigation was carried out employing a descriptive qualitative approach, which included a thorough literature review and semi-structured interviews with six Accounting students from Universitas Siliwangi. The information gathered underwent a detailed thematic examination to uncover the mental health difficulties and support requirements faced by students. The study reveals that intellectuals wrestle with diverse academic pressures, feel discomfort about what is to come, lack adequate community assistance, and face hurdles in acquiring mental health support. There was a strong focus from the participants on the essential requirement for mental health assistance frameworks that are both sustainable and accessible in schools. As a consequence of these analyses, the PRODUKTIF Program was established, featuring four important segments: mental health workshops, psychological guidance, peer partnership, and a computerized mental health system. Stressing the importance of mental health is key to student well-being and acts as a smart investment in raising academic accomplishments, the level of graduates, and workforce competitiveness. This method is established to facilitate colleges in executing ongoing mental health initiatives for their attendees.
