Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between the use of motion-based visual learning media and students’ learning motivation in Grade VIII students of SMP H Wukirsari. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 25 students selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that the use of motion-based visual learning media had a positive impact on students’ learning motivation. Initial findings indicated that most students had low to moderate levels of learning motivation. However, after the implementation of motion-based visual media combined with discussion methods, there was a significant improvement, with 70% of students categorized as having very high motivation and 20% categorized as high motivation. These findings indicate that motion-based visual learning media effectively enhance students’ interest, engagement, and learning motivation in physical education classes. Therefore, the use of motion-based visual learning media is recommended as an alternative instructional strategy to create a more effective, engaging, and less monotonous learning process.
