Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between the use of still visual projection media and the accuracy of forehand and backhand techniques in physical education learning. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The participants were 40 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 14 Lubuklinggau City, selected using a total sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of a questionnaire to measure the use of still visual projection media and a skill test to assess the accuracy of forehand and backhand techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that the use of still visual projection media was in the good category, with an average questionnaire score of 3.59. Meanwhile, students’ forehand and backhand technique accuracy was also categorized as good, with an average score of 73.08. The correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the use of still visual projection media and the accuracy of forehand and backhand techniques, indicated by a correlation coefficient of r = 0.66 with a significance value of p < 0.05. These findings indicate that better use of still visual projection media in learning is associated with higher accuracy of forehand and backhand techniques.
