Abstract

Changes and improvements continue to be made to Indonesia's national education policy, one of which is realized through innovation and curriculum development. One policy that is still being implemented is the use of the Merdeka Curriculum. This curriculum focuses on character building in line with the Pancasila Student Profile, with the aim of enabling students to apply these principles in their daily lives. The Pancasila Student Profile is closely related to the primary objectives of Islamic Religious Education. This study employs field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the internalization of the elements of the Pancasila Student Profile in Islamic Religious Education at SMA Negeri 1 Bojong, Pekalongan, has been implemented in accordance with the stages of internalization as outlined by Muhaimin, namely: value transformation, value transaction, and transinternalization. The supporting factors for the internalization of the elements of the Pancasila Student Profile in Islamic Religious Education at SMA Negeri 1 Bojong, Pekalongan, are: the support of the school principal and the enthusiasm of the students. The inhibiting factors for its internalization are: the diverse characteristics of the students and the emergence of laziness among the students.
