<![CDATA[This paper examines Indonesia’s post-pandemic recovery plans and their potential to foster economic justice in the country. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated existing economic inequalities, disproportionately affecting low-income workers, small businesses, and vulnerable communities, particularly in rural areas. As Indonesia begins its recovery, the government has implemented various policies aimed at stimulating economic growth, supporting job creation, and addressing poverty. This paper evaluates the inclusiveness and fairness of these recovery plans, focusing on key policies such as stimulus packages, social protection programs, and sector-specific support for industries like tourism, agriculture, and manufacturing. The study also looks at the effectiveness of Indonesia’s fiscal response, including the distribution of aid and the targeting of marginalized populations. Through an analysis of the economic recovery measures and their impact on economic inequality, the paper argues that while the recovery plans have made important strides in addressing immediate needs, they often overlook deeper structural issues that perpetuate inequality. The findings suggest that without a comprehensive strategy that focuses on long-term economic reforms, such as labor market reforms, wealth redistribution, and sustainable development, the recovery risks reinforcing pre-existing disparities.
