Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Islamic business ethics in consumer services at J&T Express Pasar Pon Ponorogo. The research is based on the importance of applying Islamic ethical values, including tawhid, justice, honesty, responsibility, and ihsan, in service activities involving direct interaction with consumers. This study aims to analyze the application of Islamic business ethics in consumer services, identify supporting factors, and describe the obstacles encountered in the service process. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The data consisted of primary and secondary data obtained at J&T Express Pasar Pon Ponorogo through participation, interviews with the owner, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that Islamic business ethics have been implemented through accuracy in data input, transparency of information, complaint handling, responsibility in service procedures, and friendly, communicative, and responsive attitudes toward consumers. Supporting factors include employees’ ethical awareness, structured standard operating procedures, technology utilization, a cooperative work environment, and competition in the delivery service industry. However, obstacles remain, including increased package volume during certain seasons, limited human resources, technical distribution risks, consumers’ limited understanding of service procedures, and weather conditions. This study concludes that Islamic business ethics have been implemented quite well and positively contribute to service quality and consumer trust.
