Abstract

Introduction: Non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and gout are major public health challenges because they can cause serious complications and reduce productivity. Unhealthy lifestyle factors are the main cause of the high number of NCD cases in the community.Objective: This activity aims to increase public awareness of the importance of healthy living and preventing hypertension and gout through various educational activities.Method: The methods used include health checks (blood pressure, blood sugar, and uric acid levels), public health education, implementation of hypertension and autogenic gymnastics, installation of promotional media (billboards), and education on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) to elementary school and kindergarten children. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests as well as participatory observation during the activity. Results: Of the 30 participants, several were found to have high blood pressure, blood sugar, or uric acid. Residents were very enthusiastic about participating in this activity. Children also enjoyed learning how to wash their hands and brush their teeth properly. Public knowledge increased after receiving education. Conclusion: This activity succeeded in helping the community understand the importance of maintaining health and preventing disease. The involvement of all groups, including children, makes this program run well and has a positive impact.
