Lifestyle changes significantly impact health, especially in the elderly. Unhealthy lifestyles, such as a high-salt diet, lack of physical activity, excessive stress, and a lack of awareness of routine health check-ups, can increase the risk of chronic diseases such as hypertension. Hypertension is a condition where a person's blood pressure is above normal limits and can lead to serious complications such as stroke, heart failure, and kidney disorders if not treated properly and continuously. Efforts to prevent and manage hypertension in the elderly can be carried out through interactive education designed to increase their understanding of the disease, its risk factors, and how to manage it. This interactive education activity was held at the Husnul Khotimah Elderly Home in Malang Regency, involving 55 active elderly participants. The education method was carried out directly through counseling by health workers and the distribution of easy-to-understand informative leaflets, using simple language and attractive visuals to suit the characteristics of the participants. During the activity, the elderly with hypertension were explained the definition, how to detect early symptoms, the importance of maintaining a healthy diet, and the benefits of regular light physical activity. In addition, a question and answer session was included to increase participant interaction and understanding. The results of the activity showed an increase in elderly people's knowledge about hypertension, which is expected to encourage them to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors as a preventative measure. This type of education has proven effective and can serve as a model for preventive approaches in other senior communities.
