Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of PT INALUM's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program through a Community-Based Conservation (CBC) approach as an effort to balance the aspects of Profit, People, and Planet. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, focusing on two flagship programs, namely "Hikayat Si Kuta" and "Duta Arah". Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies to describe the process and impact of program implementation. The results show that PT INALUM successfully integrated CBC principles through conflict resolution strategies, natural resource conservation, and strengthening cross-actor partnerships involving the company, government, and local communities. The implementation of this program encouraged a change in the role of the community from passive beneficiaries to key actors in ecosystem conservation and driving a sustainable local economy. In addition, cultural capital was formed in the form of values, norms, and collective awareness of the community in maintaining environmental sustainability. Comprehensively, the CBC-based empowerment model implemented by PT INALUM proves that synergy between the private sector, government, and local residents can create effective, sustainable, and community-based nature conservation that is worthy of replication in other regions with similar characteristics.
