Abstract

Early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and joint disorders, is essential to support preventive health measures and reduce disease complications. The government, through Minister of Health Regulation Number 4 of 2019, has established diabetes mellitus control as one of the minimum health services required by local governments and strengthened its implementation through the National Clinical Service Guidelines (PNPK). This community health program aimed to identify the health status of residents through early screening activities, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and uric acid examinations. The activity was conducted among residents in the GBKP Tiga Panah area. The results indicated that 38.5% of participants had normal blood pressure, 53.8% had normal blood sugar levels, and 38.5% had normal uric acid levels. These findings demonstrate the importance of routine health screening as an initial preventive strategy for detecting NCD risks. Early identification enables appropriate follow-up, education, and regular monitoring at local healthcare facilities to improve community health outcomes.
