Abstract

Abstract. This research examines the feelings of anxiety associated with wudhu (ablution), influenced by religious and psychological perspectives, within the context of Islam. Data for this study were collected through questionnaires distributed to classmates and close friends of the author. The data collected indicates that a significant portion of the respondents experience anxiety when performing wudhu, often leading to repetitive ablution habits. Psychological factors, primarily anxiety, play a significant role in these cases. Additionally, the driving factor for these behaviors is often a lack of religious understanding. The study spanned one month and two weeks and involved respondents from everyday environments. In conclusion, this study highlights this phenomenon, aiming to encourage a multidisciplinary approach between Islam and psychology to understand, address, and prevent such issues. Keywords: Wudhu, Anxiety, Islam, Psychological Factors, Multidisciplinary Approach, Questionnaire-Based Research.
