Abstract

This article delves into the issues surrounding artificial reproductive technology and its implications within the framework of Islamic law. It provides an in-depth explanation of concepts like sperm and egg donation, procedures such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), Gamete Intra Fallopian Transfer (GIFT), and artificial insemination. In the context of Islamic law, the article explores the debates surrounding the use of artificial reproductive technology and its impact on aspects like lineage and heritage. The importance of ethical considerations and safety principles in the implementation of this technology is emphasized. The article underscores the necessity for open dialogue between the medical community and religious authorities. In conclusion, artificial reproductive technology holds promise for couples facing fertility challenges, as long as it is practiced with careful consideration of Islamic law and human values.
