Abstract

Islam is a religion that comes from God. Of all the religions in the world, Islam is the religion that gives full attention to marriage matters. The research method used is literature study. Source (https://scholargoogle.com) is used to search for data in the form of journals and books. The findings explain that marriage is a contract, namely a handover between the guardian of the prospective bride and the prospective groom. Submission and acceptance of responsibility in a broad sense to achieve one goal. Marriage is the beginning of a new life for two people who initially lived separately and then live together. By getting married, a new generation will be born to continue the previous generation. In the Islamic view, marriage, apart from being an act of worship, is also the sunnah of Allah and the sunnah of His Messenger. As the sunnah of Allah, marriage is a qudrat and irodat of Allah in the creation of the universe
