Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between online loans and sharia economic principles or Islamic economics. The research method used is literature analysis to investigate how online lending practices can be in accordance with or contrary to the teachings of the Islamic religion. It was found that while online lending can provide easy financial access, some of its practices can violate Islamic financial principles such as the prohibition of riba and gharar (uncertainty). With a focus on sharia compliance, this research investigates online lending practices and the extent to which they conform to Islamic teachings. Through a comprehensive analysis of relevant sharia law, this research presents findings regarding the moral, ethical and legal implications of online lending in the context of the Islamic religion.
