Abstract

Zakat mathematics is a scientific discipline that combines Islamic sharia principles with mathematical calculations to determine zakat obligations accurately and transparently. Zakat mathematics plays an important role in modern, transparent and accountable zakat management. Its implementation contributes to optimizing zakat distribution and improving the welfare of mustahiq. Zakat in Islam is an obligation and one of the five pillars of Islam. Zakat is something that is an obligation for every muzakki, etymologically it comes from the words zaka yuzakki-tazu zakkay-tazakkahu which means to clean, purify. This research uses a literature study research method. Researchers will conduct a comprehensive literature review of literary sources about zakat. These sources include data, scientific journals and related books. By applying zakat mathematics correctly, zakat can be an effective instrument for overcoming poverty and improving people's welfare and by applying sharia principles and mathematical principles in harmony, zakat calculations can be carried out accurately, transparently and scientifically accountable. This will increase public trust and ensure that the religious obligation of zakat is fulfilled properly
