Abstract

Abstract. Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam and occupies the third position in the obligations of Muslims. Zakat is seen as one of the relationships between humans and humans on the economic side, as income distribution. Zakat has strict conditions for distribution, there are certain conditions for someone to legally receive zakat. In addition to zakat, infaq and shodaqoh are also a practice in Islam with conditions not as strict as zakat, the three are called ZIS (Zakat, Infaq, and Shodaqoh). BAZNAS has been appointed by the Indonesian government to distribute ZIS funds since 2001 and entered South Kalimantan 14 years later. The purpose of this study is to gain new knowledge about the effect of zakat distributed by BAZNAS and the poverty rate in South Kalimantan. Keywords: Zakat, ZIS, BAZNAS, Poverty.
