Abstract

The relationship between Pancasila and religion in the life of Indonesian society is based on the Pancasila ideology which is the basis of the State. Indonesia recognizes the existence of religion in government, and emphasizes that the Indonesian state is not a state based on a particular religion. Pancasila and religion are a mutually necessary relationship where religion provides an increase in the nation's morals. The Pancasila ideology encourages fellow religious believers to respect each other and not engage in hostility or discrimination.
