Abstract

The emergence of sperm donors as a form of scientific and technological progress in the medical field has given rise to a lot of debate by scholars and scientists. This arises because there is no clear boundary between these two. Sperm donors with the aim to help couples who witness problems in obtaining offspring so humans aren't passing extermination. The purpose of this writing is to find out further about Indonesian statutory law which upholds divinity and advances in biotechnology, especially in artificial reduplication outside of natural means aligns with Islamic law. This writing uses the qualitative research method. The results of the writing show that sperm donors in Indonesia, both according to Indonesian statutory law and Islamic law, is not permitted unless it originates from the husband and wife concerned
