Abstract

The widespread use of the internet and smartphones has made some people addicted, because at this time there is also a widespread use of online games where the games are mostly gambling and slots that are played using money. Some players sometimes dare to commit heinous acts so that their desire to play online games is fulfilled. The discovery of many cases of theft and even murder committed by the perpetrator because he needed money for online games, the public became afraid and began to report it so that the Ministry of Communication and Information began to move to eradicate online games in various ways. This article was created to find out how the negative side of online games in the Islamic perspective. The article was compiled by reviewing the literature and compiling several articles. It was found that online games provide a lot of negative sides. the use of online games is considered more detrimental than the benefits.
