Abstract

Religious awareness is important for individuals because religion provides moral guidance, values, meaning, purpose, and significance in life. Generation Z (Gen Z) comprises those born between 1997 and 2012. They face significant challenges in maintaining and enhancing religious awareness. Generation Z is growing up in an era of globalization and rapid technological advancements. They are exposed to diverse information, opinions, and lifestyles in an individualistic and consumeristic environment. To increase religious awareness among Generation Z, it is important to understand how to develop a deep understanding of their beliefs, recognize spiritual values, and cultivate a personal relationship with God. In short, it is essential to take a holistic development approach to enhance religious awareness. According to research, increasing religious awareness among Generation Z can be achieved by forming a personal relationship with God, creating a supportive environment, and wisely handling the influence of technology. Strengthening the personal relationship with God is crucial for parents, educators, and religious leaders to assist Generation Z in building a personal connection with God.
