Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze whether there is an influence and how muchinfluence regarding Islamic-based leadership in increasing the motivation of students majoring ineconomics. This research was conducted on active students in the field of economics at LambungMangkurat University. The research method used is the questionnaire method in order to find outthe opinions of various students regarding how much influence this Islam-based leadership has.Based on the data obtained from the questionnaire data distributed, many students feel that thisIslamic-based leadership has a big effect on their motivation and academic achievement, but thereare some students who disagree with the idea of this Islamic-based leadership because in LambungMangkurat University not all students are Muslim, with this difference it can cause difficulties inthe learning process on campus. In addition, Islamic-based leadership can provide stronginspiration for Islamic students to increase their motivation with the principles of Islamicteachings that contain positive values accompanied by good and correct guidance. Students whoare influenced by leaders based on Islamic values will be inspired to act by developing a passionfor diligent learning. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between Islamicleadership on the learning motivation of students majoring in economics at Lambung MangkuratUniversity
