Abstract

This study aims to reveal how Prophet Adam and all of humanity were created in the "Qur'an" Surah Al-Mu'minun verse 12, and also to emphasize that humans originate from the earth, specifically from the "essence of the earth." This research uses the tafsir (interpretation) method, employing classical and modern tafsir scholars to understand how humans were created from an Islamic perspective. From this research, it is clear that what is described in the Quran – that humanity is created from the elements of the earth – is fully consistent with modern scientific findings regarding the composition of the human body. This research provides a theological interpretation that humans were created by God from the elements found on Earth.
