Abstract

Children are a gift given by Allah SWT to parents. In maintaining their gifts, parents, who serve as educators, mentors, and caretakers, have a big responsibility in shaping their children character. Therefore, a child's behavior and mentality are the result of the parenting patterns implemented by both parents. This article uses a qualitative method, namely by conducting guided interviews offline for one informant and online for the other two informants. The types of parenting styles are divided into authoritarian, democratic, permissive and responsive. The results of interviews with our three informants show that each informant experienced differences as well as similarities in the way their parents raised them. Based on the experiences they shared in the session, it can be seen It can be concluded that the way parents apply parenting styles to their children has a impact on the child's behavior.
