Abstract

The presentation of test results significantly influences the conclusions drawn from a test, such as the infiltration rate test for rain-fed rice fields conducted in Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. Infiltration tests show various patterns, both in the time it takes to achieve constant infiltration and the length of the measurement data obtained. Continuing the test will yield more data, and the longer the test data, the stronger or weaker the regression relationship. The field infiltration study was conducted in rain-fed rice fields on clay soils and surrounding areas. A double-ring infiltrometer was used as the test equipment, and the tests were conducted during the dry season. The data used for analysis were infiltration data and the duration required for the test to achieve constant infiltration. The analysis results show that the constant infiltration rate obtained at test locations 1 to 5 is 2.5 cm/hour, 2.4 cm/hour, 2 cm/hour, 2.6 cm/hour and 2.6 cm/hour, respectively. For land that is still purely used for rice farming, the value is 2.4 cm/hour and the infiltration rate is still smaller than land that has been used as yard or plantation land which is 2.6 cm/hour. After constant infiltration occurs, the use of longer data (25 data) in logarithmic regression produces a determinant value of 0.6813 and the use of less data (16 data) produces a determinant value of 0.8581.
