Abstract

Stage programs at Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) events are a key point of interaction that influences visitor satisfaction and the overall quality of the event. This study aims to assess visitor preferences regarding the featured programs held at the Technoforia Stage and Biznovation Stage during Indocomtech 2025, Indonesia’s largest technology exhibition, which will take place at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City from October 30 to November 3, 2025. The study employed a quantitative approach, collecting data via questionnaires administered to 100 randomly selected visitors. Descriptive analysis and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) revealed that competition-based programs—specifically the National ICT Olympiad (OTN) (84%) and the cosplay competition (76%)—received the highest engagement rates at the Technoforia Stage, while the NVIDIA RTX AI Talkshow (88%) was the program with the highest level of interest at the Biznovation Stage. The analysis also identified three main dimensions of visitor preferences: competitive and entertainment programs, technology-based educational content, and formal education focused on AI and technology. Based on these findings, this study proposes a framework for developing exhibition programs that focuses on visitor segmentation, multidimensional experience design, and continuous quality improvement. This framework provides practical guidance for Professional Exhibition Organizers (PEOs) on how to improve service quality, strengthen visitor engagement, and enhance the strategic value of MICE exhibitions in Indonesia’s tourism and hospitality sectors.
