Abstract

This study reconstructs the epistemological framework of human knowledge by integrating philosophical traditions, scientific methodology, and Islamic epistemology. Previous studies generally discuss these dimensions separately, resulting in fragmented understandings of knowledge production. This article aims to develop an integrative epistemological framework capable of explaining the relationship between common knowledge, philosophical reasoning, scientific inquiry, and mystical knowledge within contemporary Islamic studies. This research employed a qualitative library research design using conceptual and comparative analysis. Data were collected from indexed journal articles, classical philosophical works, and contemporary Islamic scholarship published primarily during the last decade. The analysis consisted of source criticism, thematic categorization, comparative interpretation, and theoretical synthesis. The findings reveal that human knowledge develops through interconnected epistemological mechanisms rather than isolated categories. Scientific knowledge provides methodological validity, philosophical knowledge offers conceptual coherence, mystical knowledge contributes existential meaning, while normative revelation functions as the ethical and theological foundation. The study proposes an integrative epistemological model that bridges the normative-historical dichotomy in Islamic studies and contributes a conceptual framework for interdisciplinary Islamic scholarship
