Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped not only organizational communication, but also the ways religious values and workplace culture are formed. This study analyzes the role of spiritual leadership in building religious organizational culture in the digital era through a case study at MW Rona Jaya Jombang. Specifically, it examines how the company leader strengthens religious culture through digital spiritual practices, and how employees perceive these practices in relation to their psychological well-being. This research employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and a survey involving eight employees. The findings show that spiritual leadership at MW Rona Jaya is practiced through three main strategies: uswah or moral example, bi’ah or the creation of a religious work environment, and istiqamah or consistency in spiritual habituation. These strategies are manifested in monthly online khataman quran via WhatsApp, istighosah, and the daily playing of qur’anic recitation or murottal. The survey indicates that employees perceived bi’ah as the strongest contributor to their psychological well-being, followed by istiqamah and uswah. The study concludes that spiritual leadership in a local business context can integrate digital religious activity, collective ritual, and daily spiritual habituation to create a more meaningful, peaceful, and emotionally supportive workplace culture.
