Teacher-student relations constitute an important foundation of Islamic education, involving not only the transmission of knowledge but also the development of students’ manners, character, and personality. The Hadith of Jibril provides a significant illustration of educational interaction through the dialogue between the Angel Jibril and the Prophet Muhammad. This study aims to analyze the construction of teacher–student relations represented in the Hadith of Jibril and to identify pedagogical principles that can be developed and contextualized within contemporary Islamic education. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research, combining hadith analysis with a pedagogical perspective. The primary source is the Hadith of Jibril in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, while secondary sources include hadith commentaries, Islamic education literature, and relevant scholarly articles. The analysis was conducted through examination of the hadith, consideration of its context and scholarly commentaries, identification of teacher–student interactional elements in the text, and pedagogical interpretation. The findings indicate that the Hadith of Jibril represents an educational relationship that is dialogical, ethical, active, and transformative. It encompasses teacher authority and exemplary conduct, student manners and active participation, dialogical communication through questioning and answering, and the involvement of a learning community. This study contributes to the development of Islamic educational hadith studies by positioning the Hadith of Jibril as a conceptual source for strengthening teacher–student relations that integrate knowledge, manners, dialogue, exemplary conduct, and character formation.
