Abstract

This community service activity focuses on analyzing the use of virtual laboratories in teaching fluid continuity and examining their impact on students’ learning activity and conceptual understanding. Through this medium, students are able to perform simulations and experiments that are often difficult to conduct in conventional laboratories, allowing physics concepts such as ideal gas, fluid continuity, and Bernoulli’s principle to be understood more clearly and applied more effectively. The study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design involving two groups: an experimental group utilizing a virtual laboratory and a control group using conventional teaching methods. The comparison between these groups aimed to identify differences in learning outcomes and levels of student engagement during the instructional process. The findings indicate that the use of a virtual laboratory significantly enhances student participation, strengthens conceptual understanding, and promotes collaborative skills in group learning. Overall, this activity highlights the strong potential of virtual laboratories in supporting more flexible, interactive, and in-depth learning experiences. In addition to addressing limitations of physical laboratory facilities, this medium can also be implemented practically without full dependence on internet connectivity. Therefore, the broader adoption of virtual laboratories is recommended as an innovative strategy to improve the quality of education across different levels.
