Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited understanding of elementary school students of expository texts due to conventional, less context-rich learning practices. The study aims to develop and examine the feasibility and practicality of MEBUKU (Kudus Culture-Based Educational Media), an interactive learning media based on local wisdom, for sixth-grade students. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model limited to the implementation stage. Data were collected through media and material expert validation and teacher and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the feasibility score was 74.4% among media experts and 62.2% among material experts, both of which were categorized as feasible. The practicality test showed positive responses from teachers (87%) and students (85.3%), both categorized as highly feasible. These findings indicate that MEBUKU is practical and supports more contextually and meaningfully oriented learning.
