Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of physical work, environment, and work discipline on employee performance at PT Power Steel Indonesia in Tangerang, both partially and simultaneously. The method used is quantitative with a sample of 80 respondents. The results of the study show a multiple linear regression equation Y = 8.123 + 0.399X1 + 0.360X2. The correlation coefficient value of 0.731 indicates a strong relationship between the physical work environment and work discipline on employee performance. The determination coefficient of 0.534 means that both variables have a 53.4% effect on employee performance, while 46.6% is influenced by other factors. Partially, the physical work environment variable (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y). This is evidenced by the calculated t value > t table or (8.214 > 1.990) and a significance value <0.05 or (0.001 <0.05). Furthermore, the work discipline variable (X2) also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y), as indicated by the calculated t value > t table (7.556 > 1.990) and a significance value < 0.05 (0.001 < 0.05). Simultaneously, the physical work environment (X1) and work discipline (X2) have a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y). This is indicated by the calculated F value > F table (44.053 > 3.12) and a significance value < 0.05 (0.001 < 0.05).
