Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of social support and academic stress on academic burnout among final-year students at Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational approach. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS 26. The study was conducted among final-year students at Universitas Kristen Indonesia Toraja, with a sample of 90 respondents. The results showed that social support had a negative effect on academic burnout, indicating that the higher the social support received by students, the lower their level of academic burnout. Conversely, academic stress had a positive effect on academic burnout, indicating that the higher the level of academic stress, the higher the level of academic burnout among students. Simultaneously, social support and academic stress had an effect on academic burnout. The coefficient of determination showed that social support and academic stress accounted for 26.4% of the variance in academic burnout, while the remaining 73.6% was influenced by other variables not included in this study.
