Abstract

The purpose of this research is to conduct an analysis of the effect of coaching, mentoring, and knowledge management on employee performance at PT Onduline Manufaktur Indonesia. Quantitative approach was used as the research approach while explanatory research design was selected for conducting the research. The population size of the research consists of 73 people and all of the population members served as the research sample through census sampling method. The research data were collected using the questionnaire consisting of 60 questions measured using a five point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the SmartPLS 4 tool. The analysis of the data entailed assessment of the measurement model by means of the measurement of convergent validity, discriminant validity, and construct reliability, as well as assessment of the structural model and hypothesis testing with the use of bootstrapping. The results of the research indicated that coaching has no significant effect on employee performance (path coefficient = −0.159; t = 0.973; p = 0.330). Mentoring has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (path coefficient = 0.503; t = 3.003; p = 0.003). Knowledge management also has a positive and significant effect with a path coefficient of 0.606, t-statistic of 5.937, and p-value <0.001. These findings indicate that mentoring and knowledge management play a more important role in supporting employee performance in the research context.
