This study is motivated by the importance of applying Artificial Insemination (AI) technology to improve productivity and genetic quality of cattle in smallholder farming systems. The success of the AI program is largely determined by the extent to which farmers are able to accept, understand, and implement this technology in livestock reproductive activities. This study aims to determine the stages of farmers’ adoption of Artificial Insemination technology in cattle and to measure the level of adoption of this technology in Rambah Samo District. The research employed a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and the distribution of questionnaires to 92 cattle farmers as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using a Likert scale to measure the level of adoption based on three main indicators, namely the speed or time interval between receiving information and the implementation of AI, the extent of innovation adoption or the proportion of AI use in livestock farming, and the quality of intensification related to the conformity of AI implementation with recommended technical guidelines. The results show that the adoption process of AI technology by farmers occurs gradually, beginning with the reception of information, consideration of its benefits, the decision to try, and finally the implementation in livestock farming activities. Overall, the level of farmers’ adoption of AI technology is categorized as high with a total score of 8,869 and an average value of 3.21. The indicator of speed of implementation obtained an average of 3.23 (high category), the extent of innovation adoption obtained an average of 3.10 (high category), while the conformity of implementation with technical recommendations obtained an average of 3.31 (very high category), indicating that farmers have implemented AI technology well in their cattle farming activities.
