This study aims to examine the effect of Audit Fee, Audit Tenure, and Financial Distress on Audit Report Lag among listed companies in the Consumer Cyclicals sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 reporting period. The focus on this sector addresses a research gap, as prior studies rarely investigated industries highly sensitive to economic fluctuations, where timely audit reporting is crucial for investors. Using a quantitative, causal-associative approach, secondary data from 78 issuers (309 observations) were analyzed using panel regression. The results indicate that Audit Tenure significantly influences Audit Report Lag (p-value = 0,000; < 0,05), whereas Audit Fee (p-value = 0,9407; sig. 0,05) and Financial Distress (p-value = 0,6228; sig. 0,05) show no significant effect. These findings provide scientific evidence that the duration of the auditor-client engagement plays a more decisive role in determining audit timeliness than audit fees or the firm's financial condition. In practice, the study recommends periodic evaluation of auditor rotation policies and highlights the length of audit engagements as a key indicator of compliance with timely financial reporting.
