The rapid development of blockchain technology has led to the emergence of various decentralized applications, including Non-Fungible Token (NFT) marketplaces, which enable digital asset transactions without relying on centralized intermediaries. However, the development of NFT marketplaces still faces challenges related to digital asset management, ownership verification, and the efficiency of blockchain data retrieval. This study aims to design and implement a Web3-based NFT marketplace on the Ethereum blockchain using the ERC-721 token standard and the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. The system was developed using React for the front-end interface, Solidity for smart contract development, MetaMask as the crypto wallet, InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) through Pinata for decentralized digital asset storage, and the Alchemy API for blockchain data access. The smart contract manages the core marketplace functionalities, including NFT minting, listing, delisting, and purchasing, while the Alchemy API improves the efficiency of NFT data retrieval. System evaluation was conducted using Black Box Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and performance testing to compare NFT loading times with and without the Alchemy API. The results demonstrate that all core marketplace functions operate successfully and meet the defined functional requirements. Furthermore, performance testing indicates that integrating the Alchemy API significantly reduces NFT loading time compared to direct blockchain data retrieval, resulting in a more responsive and efficient Web3-based NFT marketplace.
