Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the effects of Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Risk, and Perceived Security on the decision to use Islamic mobile banking among the millennial generation in Curup City, with Islamic banking serving as the institutional context of the study rather than a separately measured sharia-related construct.Design/Methodology: This study employed a quantitative approach using a questionnaire administered to 100 millennial respondents selected through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, supported by validity, reliability, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination analyses.Findings: The results indicate that Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Security have a significant positive effect on the decision to use Islamic mobile banking, while Perceived Risk has no significant effect. Simultaneously, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Risk, and Perceived Security significantly influence the decision to use Islamic mobile banking. The three variables explain 44.5% of the variance in users’ decisions.Practical Implications: Islamic banks should improve the simplicity, accessibility, and security of their mobile banking services to strengthen customer confidence and encourage adoption among millennials.Originality/Value: This study contributes empirical evidence on the determinants of Islamic mobile banking adoption among millennials in an Indonesian local context, particularly by highlighting the importance of ease of use and security.
