Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of public perception on the interest in using financing services from Sharia banks in Salawu Village. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected via questionnaires and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. A saturated sampling technique was used, meaning the entire population served as the sample. The study involved 46 respondents from Salawu Village who had previously used or were currently using Sharia bank financing. Data analysis included validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that public perception has a positive and significant influence on the interest in using Sharia bank financing. The coefficient of determination (0.598) reveals that public perception explains 59.8% of the variation in interest regarding Sharia bank financing, while the remaining 40.2% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study, such as service quality, religiosity levels, promotion, public knowledge, trust, and economic conditions. These findings suggest that improving public perception of Sharia banks can foster greater public interest in utilizing their financing products.
