Abstract

Quality assurance in education is crucial for enhancing the performance of educational institutions. The Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) has been developed as a framework to ensure the achievement of quality standards in a systematic and sustainable manner. This study aims to design an SPMI integrated with Islamic values within the context of a private Islamic junior high school—specifically SMP Nahdlatul Wathan Bintan—to achieve educational excellence and foster Islamic character. A descriptive qualitative methodology employing a case study approach was used. The resulting design highlights that incorporating Islamic values into the SPMI cycle (PPEPP) strengthens a quality culture grounded in ethics and spirituality. Values such as *amanah* (trustworthiness), *istiqamah* (steadfastness), *ihsan* (excellence/sincerity), and *musyawarah* (consultation) serve as the foundation for ensuring and evaluating educational quality.
