Caricature is one effective form of visual communications in delivering social criticisms. In good caricatures there are combined elements of intelligence%2C sharpness and critical thinking as well as expressiveness in response to public living. Abstract

Visual Communication Design students should be able to think creative and communicate through visual. This two things are important during the process of creating a design. Students should be empowered their creative ability%2C but also they should be eased in the way they study. Comic as a media for learning is one alternative which is functioned to solve the problems above. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Mahasiswa desain komunikasi visual dituntut mampu dan terbiasa berpikir kreatif serta berkomunikasi secara visual. Abstract

Animation had been known since 1940. Although obstructed by limited facilities and simple technologies%2C back then the Walt Disney had successfully produced animation masterpieces such as Pinocchio%2C Snow White%2C etc. In the world of animation%2C technology isnÂ’t the most important player%2C the one who plays the biggest role is the animator. A good animator should be competent in drawing / having good drawing skill. This competency is very important because a good animator is supposedly able to translate ideas in his / her mind into visual in the form of animated pictures. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Animasi sudah dikenal sejak tahun 1940-an. Abstract

Commercial appearances in television and printed media has evolved continuosly. Ad designers always try to improve their commercial works performance. The existence of graphic computer in the world of advertising has succeded to draw attention of the targetted public. Through the advancement of computer technology%2C the designers tend to create their works by blending art and technology. However the creative work of ad designer is the process of imaging%2C writing%2C arranging and producing of an advertisement. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Penampilan iklan di media cetak maupun televisi terus-menerus mengalami perkembangan. Para desainer dibidang periklanan selalu berupaya menyempurnakan penampilan iklan-iklan hasil karya mereka. Keberadaan komputer grafis dalam dunia periklanan ternyata berhasil menarik perhatian khalayak sasaran%2C dan berkat kemajuan teknologi komputer yang semakin canggih%2C para desainer iklan berkarya dengan cara memadukan seni dan teknologi.
