Abstract

Social behavior is a crucial element in adolescent development, particularly during transitional periods such as junior high school. External factors including the family environment, peers, and the school play a significant role in shaping students' social interactions, empathy, sense of responsibility, and discipline in their daily lives. This study aims to explore the extent to which the social environment influences the social behavior of students at SMP Nihayatul Amal Rawamerta, Karawang. A quantitative, associative methodology employing a multiple linear regression approach was used. A sample of 50 students was selected from a total population of 86 using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and observation, utilizing a Likert scale as the primary instrument. Descriptive analysis indicates that the majority of students experience a favorable social environment and exhibit positive social behavior. Regression analysis results show a calculated t-value of 3.639 and a p-value of 0.001.
