Abstract

Water plays a very important role in meeting human needs. The water supply in Lompo Tengah Village has not been able to reach all residents evenly, so it is necessary to plan clean water supply system. This study aims to plan clean water supply system in Lompo Tengah Village to public hydrants, which can meet water needs for the next 20 years. The methods used in this study include population projections, clean water requirements, and piping network simulations using Epanet 2.0. The results analysis projected population growth of Lompo Tengah Village for the next 20 years, calculated using the arithmetic method, reached 3,541 people, which was then reduced so that the number served was 142 people with water demand 0.586 liters/second and peak demand 0.88 liters/second. water source used Waenungnge' spring with flow 6.3528 liters/second. The clean water planning system is carried capturing spring using 73.5 m3 capacity catchment tank, then channeling through 35 milimeters diameter transmission pipe with the help pump to 13.2 m3 capacity reservoir, after which the water is distributed by gravity to 3 public hydrants. Based on analysis distribution piping system using Epanet 2.0, the pipes used PVC pipes with diameter of 25 millimeters.
