Abstract

The problem of it is in the form of the quality of education which is often associated with the curriculum of Islamic Education which is considered less adaptive to social developments and technological disruption. In fact, the curriculum has a central position as a guideline for the direction, content, and process of education. The aims of this research to formulate a model for the development of the PAI curriculum in madrasas that is integrative, contextual, and responsive to the development of the times without abandoning Islamic normative values. The qualitative-based literature study method with a content analysis approach is used in research whose data is sourced from various theoretical and regulatory sources related to the foundation of curriculum development. The results of the study show that the development of the PAI curriculum must be based on five main foundations: normative, philosophical, psychological, socio-cultural, and science and technology. The novelty of this research lies in an integrative-holistic formulation that combines the five foundations simultaneously, by placing monotheism as the core curriculum while accommodating the cultural plurality and challenges of the artificial intelligence era in an adaptive and transformative manner.
