Abstract

His study aimed to analyze the serve receive performance of the Indonesian Women’s U-18 National Volleyball Team at the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Bahrain using the FIVB Passing Rating. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive observational design through performance analysis. Data were obtained from video analysis of the final match between Indonesia and Iran and official match statistics. The sample consisted of all athletes involved in serve receive, with the analysis focusing on the libero and outside hitter positions. Receive quality was assessed using the FIVB Passing Rating scale of 0–3, consisting of the categories perfect, good, poor, and error. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, score distribution, and cross-tabulation based on the type of opponent’s serve. The results showed variations in serve receive performance among players, with individual efficiency ranging from 57.15% to 71.43%. The float serve was the most frequently received serve, occurring 83 times, with a receive success rate of 88.51%, while the jump serve was received four times with a 100% success rate. Differences in receive performance were found between outside hitters and the libero, as well as across different serve types. The novelty of this study lies in integrating the FIVB Passing Rating, player position, and characteristics of the opponent’s serve within a single analysis of an international U-18 match.
