Abstract

This article discusses the story of Prophet Moses in the Qur’an as a relevant source of character education values that can be applied in both daily life and today’s educational landscape. The background of this study is rooted in the importance of character education amid the various moral and social issues faced by the younger generation, where education cannot be limited to academic achievement alone. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, in which data were collected through documentation techniques from various written sources and then analyzed using content analysis. A review of several sources indicates that the story of Prophet Moses contains a number of interrelated character values, including religious values and monotheism, patience in facing trials, courage in upholding the truth, honesty and trustworthiness, justice and compassion toward others, as well as leadership and responsibility. These values do not stand alone but are fully reflected in the sequence of events and life struggles of Prophet Moses, from confronting Pharaoh’s tyranny to leading and guiding the Children of Israel. This finding confirms that the stories of the prophets in the Qur’an can serve as concrete learning materials to shape students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also possess good character and personality.
