Abstract

The art of reciting the Qur'an is essential. However, many people have not yet mastered the art of Qur'anic recitation properly. Therefore, learning activities on the art of Qur'anic recitation are needed to enable individuals not only to read the Qur'an correctly but also to chant it beautifully and melodiously. This study was conducted to reveal the influence of lagam tilawah learning on the interests and talents of students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Kholiliyyah, Bogor. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of tilawah learning on the interests and talents of students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Kholiliyyah. This study was designed based on qualitative research principles that emphasize an in-depth understanding of social phenomena through the subjective perspectives of participants. This approach is suitable for exploring the influence of lagam tilawah learning, as a method of Qur'anic recitation learning focused on repetition and rhythmic practice, on the development of students' talents, such as memorization ability, spiritual discipline, and religious creativity. The results show that lagam tilawah learning influences students' interests and talents in reciting the Qur'an. It helps students develop the ability to recite the Qur'an properly and beautifully. This method also strengthens students' memorization ability, spiritual discipline, and religious creativity. Thus, lagam tilawah learning has a tangible positive impact on students' interests and talents.
