Abstract

Teacher organizational commitment is a fundamental factor in determining the success of vocational education institutions, particularly at SMK Swasta Nurul Amaliyah. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and job satisfaction on teachers’ organizational commitment. Organizational culture is understood as a system of shared values, norms, and beliefs, while job satisfaction reflects teachers’ emotional responses to both financial and non-financial aspects of their work. The research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, focusing on cause-and-effect relationships among variables. The population consists of all 50 teachers at SMK Swasta Nurul Amaliyah, with the saturated sampling technique (total sampling) applied so that the entire population serves as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale, observations, and supporting documentation. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS software. The findings are expected to show that organizational culture has a positive effect on teachers’ commitment, where values of discipline, work ethic, and religiosity strengthen their emotional attachment to the school. Job satisfaction is also predicted to have a significant impact, both from intrinsic aspects (recognition, work comfort) and extrinsic aspects (compensation, facilities). Simultaneously, organizational culture and job satisfaction are anticipated to contribute substantially to teachers’ organizational commitment, reflected in loyalty, dedication, and willingness to work beyond minimum standards. The implications of this study highlight the importance of fostering an inclusive organizational culture and establishing a fair job satisfaction system to enhance teacher commitment.
