Abstract

The aquaculture sector currently has a real contribution to foodsecurity, including increased production, animal protein consumption, employment, income and regional development. Some problems intilapia farming are manual feeding and unstable water pH levels. Thisresearch aims to design and build an automatic control system for fishfeeders and monitoring water pH in tilapia ponds based on the Internetof Things (IoT). This system uses a Raspberry Pi as the systemcontrol. In the feeding mechanism, the HX711 load cell sensor is usedto weigh the feed, the servo motor functions as the opening and closingof the main feed container, and the DC fan acts as a blower of theweighed feed into the pond area. In addition, a PH-4502C sensor isused to measure the acidity (pH) of the pond water in real-time. Alldata related to feed weight and water pH are displayed through a webserver interface that can be accessed remotely by users. This system isexpected to improve the efficiency of feeding and monitoring waterquality, thus supporting optimal tilapia growth. The test results showthat this system is able to operate well and provide accuratemonitoring results as well as timely feed control and in accordancewith the needs of tilapia.

Abstract

The problem of pests on agricultural land is a significant challenge that can drastically reduce crop yields. Sound wave-based pest repellent systems were developed as a solution to overcome this problem without the use of chemicals that can damage the environment. This research aims to design and build a pest repellent by utilizing certain sound frequencies produced by amplifiers and speakers, which are activated when the PIR sensor detects pest movement. This tool uses an Arduino Uno as the main microcontroller to control the system, a PIR sensor to detect the movement of pests, and an RTC (Real-Time Clock) to set the device's operation schedule to match a specific time. This system is expected to be an effective and environmentally friendly solution to repel pests, as well as reduce damage to plants without disturbing the surrounding ecosystem. The testresults show that this tool can work well in detecting the presence of pests and activating the sound of repellents automatically, so that it is effective in maintaining the quality of crops on agricultural land

Abstract

Industrial electrical panels play a crucial role in electrical systems, particularly in power distribution and electric machine control panels that operate continuously during production processes. However, they also pose a potential fire hazard due to factors such as human error or equipment malfunction, including high temperatures, gas leaks, or undetectable installation errors. This study aims to design a fire alarm monitoring system based on the Internet of Things using an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor, an MQ-2 gas sensor, and a flame sensor. The research adopts an experimental method. A three-phase distribution panel is used in this study. Based on the test results, sensor data can be displayed in real time through an LCD and the Blynk application, and automatically logged to Google Sheets. The results demonstrate that the system is capable of detecting hazardous conditions and providing early warning alerts via an alarm
